422 error on Microsoft 365 connection

We are encountering an error when trying to send email through a Microsoft 365 account. The error from the server is a Forbidden (422) error, same as encountered in other tickets in this support forum.
We’ve checked the documentation and support, this lead us to changing the user that created the application for the API key & secret (now done with the account that also sends the email). We’ve gone through the whole process of setting up the connection again with the account that send the emails. In the plugin settings this all checks out, authentication succeeded and all keys etc. have been updated, but we still receive the 422 Forbidden error when sending a test email.
The 422 says the recipient does not have space in the mailbox left, we’ve checked and doublechecked this, but both the recipient and the sender have plenty of room in the mailbox left.
Please help us because we are out of ideas.
