4.2.2 fails to load and here's why

    i can’t even delete the old version, i get this:

    Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) sharexy/sharexy.php.

    Hi!

    Seems you have a problem with access rights. You need to make sure that the folder permissions/ownership are correct.

    I’m having the same issue. Never had a problem before. What folder should I look at for permissions? I should mention that I can update themes and plug in. I’m just having a problem with updating wordpress itself.

    I’m getting the following message:
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/po/pp/y_/poppy-run.com/public_html/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 668

    Any suggestions what the problem is?
