I’ve read the master list, all 5 of my sites (with different builds/themes) have the media library issue, where it shows blank, and all images when tried to upload fail.

Upon reading the master list, I decided to try a completely fresh install, on a completely fresh server partition, with no entries, no plugins, nothing.

Guess what, media library doesn’t work.

Does anyone have a solution for this? Are WP going to release an update to solve this? Since the fresh install has only 4.5 and twentysixteen running I cannot understand the issue?

    Would really appreciate the help/feedback

    Thanks!

Hey @joe (thanks for the continued help on this btw) and @dishyart and anyone else with this issue
    SOLVED

What it looks like is some problem in the new update code for 4.5 regarding displaying errors.

What we did is, – WHM – PHP configuration – field display_errors and turned this OFF (from on). Fixed it immediately.

After a week of having this issue and thinking it was JS or something else complicated, it’s really that simple!

@stylenoir YAY! It worked for me, too. THANK YOU for everyone’s patience in this thread. Y’all are amazing!!

i am jumping on because I opened a thread for this issue and received very minimal response…. looks like this might be the fix! I am not one for code though, can you explain to me how to do this?? sounds easy but its gibberish to me hah :/ so close yet not! I’ve been trying to figure this out for over a week as well!

    Hi Collette,
Depends on how much experience you have with servers. This isn’t coding at all, it’s literally turning options off.

Do you have access to your WHM? Normally on port 2087.
If you do then this is super easy, if you don’t then if you’re on a managed host they might do it for you.

This fix didn’t work for me. However, it looks as if 4.51 might have fixed this.
Has this worked for anyone – I had to roll mine back to 4.42 as I had deactivated all plug-ins and found the same problem with 2016.

    Please let me know

    Thanks
