• I have a virtual server on AWS that runs windows 2008R2 and has been used to host wordpress sites with apache 2.4. Lately we have been getting error messages of allocating over a TB of memory when accessing the functions.php (of which no manual functions were added).

I have tried updating Apache, PHP, wordpress, and its plugins to no avail. I saw this bug report and thought it might be related, but even after updating to the latest PHP 5.6 and even to PHP 7, I still have it.

What is strange is that after several messages about memory allocation errors, the various WordPress sites on the server freeze up and only show a white screen… however the non WordPress PHP sites work fine…as does PhpMyAdmin to access the MySQL db that WordPress uses.

    Here are my server versions:
    Windows 2008 R2
    Apache 2.4.20 (x64 using VC14)
    OpenSSL 1.0.2g
    PHP 7.0.6 (ThreadSafe – x64 using VC14)
    MySQL 5.6.30 (x64)
    PhpMyAdmin 4.6.0
