4a4 template for debugging

  • As I explained yesterday, I am having trouble with permalinks in 1.3.
    It struck me that a usefsl tool to have is a custom 404.php that echoes back the entire querystring.

  • WP will load 404.php from your active theme directory, if provided. Also, if you are using mod_rewrite, you can add the “R” option to your rewrite rules so that you can see what URI, including query string, is being written. Just change “[QSA,L]” to “[QSA,L,R]” for each rewrite rule you want to debug.
