5.01 – State not stored, dark mode makes all pictures invisible in Firefox

Hi Ibrahim,

1. The WP Dark Mode Switch is placed in the sidebar and also in the upper area of every article page (together with a language switch) for mobile readers:

2. The Theme is Generate Press. All plugins, the theme, and WordPress are up to date. The WP Dark Mode settings are set to Default Dark Mode (although it is loading in Light Mode all the time)

3. The blacking out of the images and the embedded videos looks like this:

4. I can unfortunately not make a screenshot of the problem, that the plugin is not keeping the state, if dark mode is activate manually and after reload it is switching back to light mode. It seems, although it is set to “Default Dark Mode” it is loading in default light mode, and every time a page load happens, it is again switch back to default and not respecting the user’s choice.

I still can’t update to version 5.0.1 as the images all disappear I have created a Staging site and keep trying it, if it still does not work, I revert back to the last stable version 4.x.x and clear my cache and try again the next day.

I don’t like having an Update Plugin Notification looking at me as It makes me think of Security.

I am using the Free Version, was trying it out, had it looking the way I wanted it and was going to upgrade, but not at the moment.

I am using Blocksy Theme on the latest PHP Version; look forward to updating it once all the bugs are fixed.

I updated it to the latest version 5.0.2 on a Staging Site and there are a couple of things, just boarder’s around call me buttons nothing serious, Some text need’s to redone in Headers, however I can sort them out, sorry that you have had all this grief, with a great Plugin, once you get all the bugs sorted your Plugin will be even better.

Will keep an eye open for any updates, hope you get there.
