I am on the most recent WP and running the Classic Editor plugin.

I wanted to look at all the code for the site so went to settings to open the editor. It is no longer there.

I have been round and round in the forums and documentation to try to find out how to view it but can find nothing. I appreciate that the new system is for people who don’t want to mess with code and most of the time I don’t want to but it is helpful to be able to look at it when odd things are happening.

The odd thing that prompted me to look for it is that when I log in I am not directed to the home page but redirected to the page for the forum. It didn’t use to be this way. I have recently installed Wordfence and wondered if that could have an effect but as I can’t see the code I can’t tell.

Is it something I now have to do on my webspace? Is it even possible to view the code in a webspace? I’m confused and frustrated. Please don’t take away things which were useful or hide them so well that they might as well have been taken away.

If you’re looking for what used to be appearance->editor, it’s now in two parts, one in plugins (edit plugins) and one in appearance (edit themes).

If you don’t see that then your theme or a plugin has disabled that functionality.
