    When I put forward that I wanted to make a road trip across the US on my own my wife was understandably nervous, and set the condition that she wanted to be able to follow my progress at any time of the day. Rather than relying on a phone app like Find My Friends and facing hefty data charges I looked fora WordPress compatible solution – and to my delight I found Trackserver.

    This easy-to-install plugin, and the non-nonsense TrackMe app, worked flawlessly. It didn’t take me more than a couple of hours to install, set up and test and during the time I ran it there were no glitches or fails.

    Only when I tried to export the data to a gpx file did I have an issue, and the developer answered my support request, found the fault and patched the plugin within 24 hours.
