• after upgrading to version 5.3 earlier today I get the following messages when trying to log-in to the wp-admin page or access the home page of the website (I have changed the site name below). Any help would be good.

  • You obscured the site’s URL so I can’t tell for sure but there’s a plugin called WP File Manager or something like that. Disable that plugin and your problem will probably go away.

    If you need that plugin then figure out where it came from and contact the source for help with it.

    Simple delete wp file manager from plugins by panel or cpanel/ftp. (As said by jnashawkins)

    This error is due to incompatibility with outdated plugins. So after bugfix update you can reinstall it. for now there is no update for this plugin.

    Many thanks for the advice. I have deactivated the plugin by changing its name and I can now login via the admin page. I didn’t develop the site so I am not sure why it is there, it seems to be a FTP type replacement. I have raised a support ticket with them so I will see if they respond.
