• Resolved JS

Updated to WP 5.5 and now there drag and drop feature on Gutenberg blocks is gone. Aren’t we supposed to be IMPROVING. This may sound trivial, but drag and drop was and is an important feature that we were sold when you moved to Gutenberg. It is slowing my production WAY down. Can we please fix this?

It it is still doable you sure hid it good.

I’ve just done some research, and it turns out they’ve not removed the feature, just hidden it!

Just hold down on the up/down arrows then you should be able to drag and drop like before.

Can’t believe this has been take out from easy use. Can you please put this back in as it was. Gutenberg lags behind many other page builders and this certainly isn’t helpful!!

Hi folks, Sorry for the inconvenience here.

In version 5.5.0 of WordPress, the drag and drop feature for blocks is still there, but it now requires you to click, and hold, on the up or down arrows, and then drag the block from there.

A ticket to improve discoverability is available at https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/24506
