5 Million installs BUT no update for 8 months?

I am unsure of what is currently occurring with the development of the plugin, but reviewing the Github development page of the plugin, I can see the last change in development was two months ago: https://github.com/WordPress/classic-editor

Please developers give this diamond updates! ?? We need it badly because Gutenberg sucks, if you want work fast.
