500 “directory writable by others”

  • When I activate the plugin, the URLs to wp-content/plugins/bwp-minify/min/?f=... are giving a 500 error. The logs show “error: directory is writable by others”. I checked and the dir is 775. I tried changing bwp-minify/min/ and bwp-minify/ to 755, same error.

    Have you tried changing for wp-content and plugins as well? This could be due to some security settings imposed by your host so you can also check with them.
