500 error

I keep getting a 500 error whenever I’m trying to save or create a new Snippet. I’m using version 3.6.1. I’m also working with a block theme so I have no functions.php file to add the suggested fix of:
\Code_Snippets\DB::create_table( ‘wp_snippets’ );

What do I do to resolve this issue?
