After upgrading my Yada Wiki plugin from version 3.1 to 3.2, I get HTTP Error 500 (generic failure) when trying to view or preview any of the pages on my site. This happens using Chrome from a PC or on Android. When I disable the Yada Wiki plugin, no error occurs and all my pages are visible again. I tried removing my TOC sidebar widget, but that is not where the trouble lies. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@masp01 – I’m sorry you are having an issue. On the main WP page for the plugin, on the right bar, there is a link for Advanced View. If you click on that and go to the bottom of the page you will see a place where you can download the previous 3.1 version. For the time being, you can download that, deactivate and delete the current plugin and upload and activate the 3.1 version. That should get your site back up. Then we can try to figure out what is causing the issue.

@masp01 – I’m not sure if it is related to your error, but in Firefox I see this error in the console:

If you could please tell the the plugins and theme you are using I can try them if they are free / or I own them.

    Best,

If you know what version of PHP you are on that might be useful also.

    Thanks

Thanks for the quick response! I am using the “Twenty Seventeen” theme, version 2.1. The only other plugin I am using is Collapse-O-Matic (the site is quite small, and I’ve only recently started it). Deactivating the Collapse-O-Matic plugin or removing my content that depends on Collapse-O-Matic does not resolve the issue.

    My PHP version is 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.11

Hi @masp01 – Thank you for the information. I am unable to get WordPress 5.2 to work with PHP 5.3.10. It says that the minimum PHP version is 5.6. What version of WordPress are you using?

    Thank you,

    David

My site is hosted through a service called Expressions at my university. Expressions uses WordPress version 4.9.6

Hi @masp01 – I just updated the plugin. I think I found the issue – an empty array check that didn’t work with PHP 5.3.10. Thank you for your help in finding the issue and for your perseverance.

Please let me know if it fixes the issue for you.

    Best regards,

    David
