500 Error on certain perma-links

    We noticed in Google Search Console some 500 errors popped up, and they appear to be isolated to this plug-in. The URL’s in question are:

    https://domain.com/search/taupe-kitchen-walls
    https://domain.com/search/bye-bye-gifs

    When I look at the errors they both throw the same errors:

    Message Uncaught TypeError: Argument 1 passed to Mediavine\Grow\Share_Counts::should_get_count() must be an instance of WP_Post, instance of
    stdClass given, called in /web-root/wp-content/plugins/social-pug/inc/class-share-counts.php on line 312 and defined in
    /web-root/wp-content/plugins/social-pug/inc/class-share-counts.php:109

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Hi @gnetconsulting! I’m doing a bit of housekeeping after our acquisition of the plugin last week… I checked with @mediavine and they confirmed that they identified the issue and provided a workaround to you via email. So I’m going to mark this thread as “resolved.”
