• Hi,

I’m Using Premium version of this plugin. I tried to import excel file with Question and Answer but I’m getting 500 internal server error.

The excel file moved to the directory wp-content\plugins\ultimate-faqs\faq-sheets but not importing data

Also I tried with this URL https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/Screenshots/FAQ_Export.xls But not imported.

I enabled error log for both WP and APACHE. But nothing reported on error log.

But it seems working fine local machine and staging server with same code.

My production website is AWS, here it is not working.

Please advice what is the issue and how to recover this issue.

    PHP Details of my website.
    PHP Version 5.6
Max_execution time and input time are kept 1000.
    Memory_limit 2GB

  • Hi makwebspeed,

HTTP 500 error is quite vague and doesn’t reveal much about the reasons the request failed. As a test case could you try adding a test FAQ from the plugin dashboard and then export the FAQs as spreadsheet. Use this exported sheet as your sample spreadsheet, add new data and try importing this and see if this makes a difference. You could also keep checking the browser console while importing to see if there’s any error being shown there.

    Hi etoilewebdesign,

    Thanks for your reply,

I’m tried with export the data and added the sample data then import, but still I’m getting 500 error. Please let me know any other chances to fix this?

    Hi makwebspeed,

It sounds like there’s a chance of conflicting code between two (or more) plugins.

We’d recommend that you try deactivating all other plugins (besides ours) to see if you can then import. If it works, then you can try re-activating the other plugins one by one to see which is causing the conflict.
