Hello. When loading a certain Metaslider slideshow my browser throws a 500 error. It looks like it isn’t loading the Javascript. Confusingly, another Metaslider slideshow on the same page works just fine.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin but get the same problem. This same problem manifests when trying to preview the slideshow on an unpublished WordPress page:

and actually causes *published* pages to fail completely:

I can’t see any meaningful difference between the slideshows that work and the ones that don’t.
How do I get the Javascript to load?

Hi @sattler360. Thanks for using MetaSlider.

We’ve got a troubleshooting guide here and it’s worth going through those steps: https://www.metaslider.com/docs/troubleshooting/. Steps 4, 5 and 10 might be particularly worth testing.

Howdy. Re: #4. Are you using a Legacy slideshow option?
:: Nope. This is a fresh install of the latest Metaslider plugin and a brand new slideshow.

Re: #5. Does it help to disable optimization or security plugins?
:: No optimization, cache, or security plugins are installed.

Re: #10. Are you running multiple copies of jQuery?
:: Installed and activated the?Version Control for jQuery?plugin. No change.

    Any other ideas?

Thanks @sattler360. The next step would be to look for an error message.

For example, normally when you see that message in your second screenshot, WordPress will send you an email with the contents of the error.
