Hi, I’m testing out this plugin on a client website to see if it’s an option for them to be able to edit their content easier. It functions on the backend but completely kills the page in preview or published with a 500 error. I don’t have server access to this site but do know the following:

    Server architecture Linux 4.4.0-1100-aws x86_64
    Web server Apache
PHP version 7.0.27 (Supports 64bit values)
    PHP SAPI fpm-fcgi
    PHP max input variables 1000
    PHP time limit 120
    PHP memory limit 256M
    Max input time 300
    Upload max filesize 40M
    PHP post max size 40M
    cURL version 7.45.0 OpenSSL/1.0.2n
    Is SUHOSIN installed? No
Is the Imagick library available? No
.htaccess rules Your .htaccess file contains only core WordPress features.

The theme is custom and I have not tried on a default theme yet as I didn’t want to until knowing if there’s a server setting that needs to change.

Also, when I deactivate the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, the page will load – of course not with the content – but there’s no 500 error.

    Hi lauramartin,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble viewing SiteOrigin Page Builder powered pages. I don’t see any issues with the outlined configuration.

Can you please try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and then see if this issue remains? If that doesn’t help, can you please temporarily change the theme and checking that?

If you would rather not change theme, please enable WP_DEBUG and then replicate this error. You’ll now see an error message, please reply with a copy of that error message.

Well, it’s definitely the custom theme that’s causing the issue. Darn, this would have been a great solution.

    Thanks.

    Hi Laura

It would be best to enable debug and debug logging to get more information about the issue. Here is how https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/. The issue might be minor.
