    Hello,

We’re on the most recent version of User Switching v1.7.0, but after updating plugins this morning, there appears to be a conflict now with User Switching. Trying to Switch To, we’re now getting a WordPress Error – 500 Critical error.

    Plugins that were updated are:
Yoast SEO / WooCommerce / Wordfence Security / AutomateWoo / Admin Columns Pro

Have you run into compatibility issues with these? Checking the error log, nothing is getting logged.

    Thanks, Jonathon

Thanks for the report. I’d need to know what the underlying error is to help out. Are you sure there isn’t a fatal error in the PHP error log? You might need to take a look at the error logging config in PHP to ensure everything gets logged.

Thanks for the follow-up – do you have an email address that I can send you a quick screen recording to show you the behavior?

I’ve made sure to enable debug log, triggered the error, but nothing is logging.

    Hi,

I’m seeing the same issue. I just updated a site (where minutes before I had used the switch function with no issue) and I’m now getting a 500 error. It seems that there may be a error with redirects. My apache log has:

AH00124: Request exceeded the limit of 10 internal redirects due to probable configuration error. Use ‘LimitInternalRecursion’ to increase the limit if necessary. Use ‘LogLevel debug’ to get a backtrace.

Can you let me know which plugins you updated? Can you try deactivating your other plugins one by one to see if you can identify a culprit? Thanks.

I updated WP from 6.1.x to 6.2.2, the theme and 29 plugins. It’s an active live site, with a ton of plugins, so can’t really deactivate plugins on the site. I’d have to setup a dev site.

I’ve resolved the issue on my site. Looking at Jonathon’s plugin list with WordFence, caused iThemes Security to pop to mind, since it’s been related to redirection issues for me before. Disabling it allowed switching to work. After re-enabling, switching still worked, so I’m guessing a permalink issue that got reset?

It’s now working again on our end too – I had forgotten that we had Cloudflare on the site, and after that refreshed, the User Switching is working again.

    Thanks for the help.
