I see others are having this issue. I’m getting:

500 status code for “POST /sites/25586368/publicize-connections/new”

when attempting to connect to facebook or twitter.

    I’ve tried:
Deactivating Jetpack; deleting; re-installing … no luck.

De-activate ALL plugins, delete jetpack, re-install .. same problem still occurs.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Your site doesn’t seem to be properly connected to WordPress.com at the moment. I also noticed that I could access your site from HTTP and HTTPS:

    https://steadfastlutherans.org/

It may be best to set up a redirection from HTTP to HTTPS for all users. Here is how to do so:
    https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/redirect-http-to-https/

That will make search engines happy, it should solve any issues your site has when communicating with third-party services like WordPress.com, and your readers will feel safer!

Once you’ve done that, could you try the following:

    1. Go to the Jetpack menu in your dashboard
    2. Scroll down to find the Connections area.
    3. Click the “Manage site connection” link where your site is listed.
    4. Click the red Disconnect button.
    5. Click on the “Set Up Jetpack” button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

Let me know how that goes.
