I have created this topic before.

The error that i receive multiple times on my debug log is as follows:
2018-06-05T16:43:28+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found

2018-06-05T16:43:29+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found
2018-06-05T16:43:30+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found
2018-06-05T16:43:43+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found
2018-06-05T16:44:11+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found
2018-06-05T16:44:17+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found
2018-06-05T16:44:29+00:00 CRITICAL Class ‘WC_Braintree’ not found

This crash suddenly occurs while just surfing through the site. I wasn’t even on the payment page when the site crashed. The website goes down without me knowing and once down, I have to access the FTP to rename the plugin folder for the site to work again. I then go to the Plugins page and reactivate the Braintree Plugin.

I renamed the PLUGIN FOLDER ‘/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-powered-by-braintree’ and the site started working again.

There is a fatal conflict in the plugin.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

As WordPress and WooCommerce engineers, could you please recommend some hosting companies, that are great for WordPress websites. I personally love WordPress and Woocommerce and would like to get the best out of it, especially server-side. Appreciate the help! ??

Hey folks. Just to give you an update that my hosting company is creating a PHP 7.1 testing environment server so that I can perform further testing on our current site. I should start testing starting tomorrow July 12, 2018. Will update you here as to how it will go. Thanks!

So, in conclusion, I tested on PHP 7.2.2 with the Braintree Gateway and encountered no issues so far. Added same theme we’re using with the current site to see if the error originates from the theme files. No issues found.

I guess this means that the Paypal Braintree plugin may have compatibility issues with old versions of PHP.

Thanks folks for your patience on this matter. You can mark post as resolved if necessary.

The issue was finally pinpointed. The plugin WooCommerce PayPal Powered by Braintree Payment Gateway only works with PHP 7+. This was tested out multiple times on a test server that had both versions. The site crashed when PHP 5.6 and 5.7 were used. Plugin works great with PHP 7+. No crashing detected.
