• Hello! WPSC suddenly began to break my website with 500 int. server error after years of working. I’ve contacted hosting support (bluehost) and they checked error logs and agreed that plugin breaks everything and recommend me to contact you for checking plugin requirements. They said that .htaccess and everything works pretty fine without plugin and they do not see server-side errors.

(0:41) [Priya] Yes, looks like the plugin wp-super-cache is causing the issue now, when you disable the plugin your website starts working, Can you please contact your plugin vendor and check if the plugin is updated, also check if the plugin is compatible with our server requirements
(0:42) [Evgenii] It worked earlier, so I suppose that it's problems of plugin. I'll contact then. Thank you!
(0:43) [Evgenii] So, there's no problems with .htaccess or other files on my server, yes?
(0:43) [Priya] No, there is no problem with your htaccess file, also server load also fine

But I don’t know what to do: everything worked week ago. Maybe there’s some problems with updates? I deleted my databases and everything, installed all back from a scratch and this error is still occures. Thanks for you help in advance!

  • Hey!

It looks like a lot of people are running into the same issue.

On my end i deactivated the following rule in the plug-in setup:
Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors. (Recommended)

but i guess i’m missing most of the benefit of using a cache plugin.

    Thanks!

    Adrien
