500 Internal Server Error When Saving CSS

  • Hello,

    First of all, thank you for any help in advance. As of now, I’m getting a 500 Internal Server Error every time I try to save the CSS for my blog. Currently, I’m using a child theme of the Twenty Fifteen theme. This is the first time I have this error. I recently updated WordPress to the latest version. I suspect it has something to do with the database, webhost, or something like that.

    How can I fix this?

  • That sounds more like an issue in one of your child theme’s files. Try switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
