The plugin has been functioning flawlessly since our site launched back in March. However, as of yesterday the home page that uses the FTS shortcodes consistently creates a 500 Internal Server Error unless the plugin is deactivated.

Any thoughts as to what may be going on? We hope this can be resolved as we are seeing a large discussion across social media due to a company campaign that started just yesterday.

Thank you in advance for any support you can provide.

From our tests on the server, Mika so kindly set up for us on Dreamhost, their seems to be some glitchy issues regarding our cURL function from working properly. Not sure if the cURL library is bad or what but it is very inconsistent. I can put one facebook or instagram feed on the page with just one post and it will still 500 error right off the bat. Keep everyone posted about a work around. The Twitter feed by itself does not appear to have any issue, but we are using oauth to fetch that info so maybe we are going to have to do the same for the other feeds so they don’t have this problem on these shared servers.

Thanks for the update Spencer, and thank you Mika for helping to further investigate what the heck is going on!

After a MANY hours of researching, writing and testing and we FINALLY have a solution everyone! Please re-installed the free version! We pushed a silent update (meaning no version change yet) to fix the issue.

After you’ve re-installed the free version please go to the “Settings Page” under Feed Them tab and check the “Fix Internal Server Error” .

For those looking for a technical answer – When this option is checked we are no longer using the curl_multi to handle things but instead initiating a call for each curl.

We can’t say for sure but we think it may be a bug with the php versions on the servers and the call curl_multi_exec.

**JUST NOTE** We did some tests and this may dramatically increase the load times of the feeds as it is technically not making only one curl call anymore but many curl calls. The bright side is that at least it will work.

    Thanks,
Justin and Spencer (the SlickRemix Team)

We do our best! Thanks for sticking it out! Big thanks to Mika for lending the server so we could debug the problem.
