• I have a single post that I cannot edit. It gives me the dreaded “Internal Server Error” every time I try. Of course, this is also my most popular post, it gets more than 1,000 visits a day and had more than 1,000 comments.

I want to give the post a makeover because it is so popular, but i can;t get past the 500 error.

I tried upping the memory available to PHP to increasingly large values. (I think I stopped at 120MB.) I wasn’t positive it was working or even if that was the real problem.

I’m running a Plesk server built on Fedora. Any thoughts?

Internal server errors are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for anything useful. If you don’t have access to your server error log, ask your hosting provider to look for you.

for what it’s worth, i’m having a very similar issue. i solved it the first time by upgrading wordpress (after backing up the site and databases), but now i’m getting the “Error 500 – Internal server error” whenever i try to edit my latest post.
