500 Internal Server Error after Plugin Installation

    Hi,
    I installed the Facebook Instant Articles plugin and immediately after that my site crashed completely. It gave my a 500 internal server error in frontend and backend.

    I deleted the plugin then via FTP but that didn’t work. Unti lnow I didn’t touch the database and changed nothing there. Any suggestions?

    Okay, this is wierd.
    The plugin activation triggered a change in my .htaccess file for another plugin concering the GZIP compression. This change in the .htaccess file (which I didn’t launched at all!) caused the 500 internal server error.

    I edited the .htaccess file back to normal and now the site ist on again. Strange.

    Can You elaborate more? I had the same issue right now and even uninstallation does nothing.

    In my case, my website gives 500 error when i try to publish a post. While, Instant Articles itself working fine on facebook.
