500 Internal Server Error (blog URL changed in Settings perhaps)
-
Hi guys,
A friend has had some confusion about the URL of her blog: after writing a post it wouldn’t appear so she changed the blog URL settings which has well and truly borked it.
In her own words:
I’d managed to make a few static pages, called philippajacks.co.uk/about and philippajacks.co.uk/greenspaced (Greenspaced is my blog itself). Then i wrote my first blog post and ‘published’ it but it wasn’t appearing anywhere on my site.
I went into ‘Settings’ on my dashboard and fiddled about with the URL for wordpress, and the URL for my blog, but still couldn’t see the blog appearing anywhere.
Then it went mental, wouldn’t show any of my site at all, and won’t even let me log into WordPress Admin now either.
On the front-end, it can no longer find the theme, and when I attempted to login, that’s when the Internal Server Error occurs.
I’ve FTP’d in to look for a rogue .htaccess file, it didn’t exist so I created a blank new one but to no avail.
Any ideas?
Cheers.
