When I click the “Verify URL” button after entering the URL to the MP3 file it only displays 500 Internal Server in the message box appearing above the input field.

Media url which I’m using is https://traffic.libsyn.com/dailydiesel/Diesel_171_Hey_Fatty.mp3

If i try some other media url (not from libsyn hosted), it works fine.
I have contacted Libsyn support and they said they tested the same url and it is working fine on their end.

I did try to troubleshoot but no luck

1.Tested the plugin file from this thread
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/error-500-when-getting-sizelength-of-mp3-file/
    2. Deactivate all plugins and have only Powerpress enabled.
    3. Activate default theme.
    4. Tried by moving site to localhost but then came different error Operation timed out.
    5. Tried increasing Memory and timeouts
    6. Tested with PHP Version 7.0 and PHP Version 5.6. Don’t have 7.1 on the server

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

I had no trouble verifying the media URL with my test site. Internal server errors can be tricky to track down. The best thing would be to contact support for your web hosting company and see if they can find the source of the error within their logs.

Also, despite this error, you can still manually add the duration and file size information in the Podcast Episode box and still publish the post as you normally would. These types of messages from PowerPress don’t prevent you from saving a post with the media file URLs entered into the Media URL box.

Can you reply with the media URL you are trying to verify when you get the 500 error?

    Thanks,

If it is https://traffic.libsyn.com/dailydiesel/Diesel_171_Hey_Fatty.mp3, I believe the file is corrupted. I have tried to open the file in WinAmp to view the ID3 tags and it crashes WinAmp every time I try to view theme. Opening with iTunes the ID3 tags are sparse, there is no artwork and the only tag set is title and it is set to URL “https://unstoppablemanproject.com”. What app did you use to write your ID3 tags to this episode?

    Hello @sukhrajgrewal,

Just following up if you had any success with re-creating the mp3 and uploading it?

    Thanks,
