500 Internal Server Issue – WP Admin

  • Hi

    Just moved my site to a new host and I get this error when I try to login WP-admin.

    “HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.”

    I have tried looking up the solutions on here and done the php.ini file one and that didnt work. I have also tried removing the htaccess in the admin folder.

    Since I can’t access admin I cant try disabling the plugins.

    Is there another solution? Or could it be the new hosts in this case?

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
