500 International Server Error

  • The past day and a half my site has been giving me an error when I try and view it. (Wow I’m having a lot of trouble with my sites lately!) I recall as I logged into my wpadmin that it automatically updated me from 2.7.1 to 2.8 and I think that is when it stopped working. But I can’t be 100% sure because I’m getting my two websites mixed up as they are both causing me trouble.

    This is the error that my site gives when people try to visit:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    Additionally, a 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I e-mailed the address listed above in the quote but no replies as of yet.

    What could have caused this? I’m such a wordpress newb and know no code whatsoever.

  • Internal Server Error

    These are usually due to problems with your web host’s server or due to a bad .htaccess.

    Additionally, a 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable error was encountered…

    It could just be that your web host’s server is temporarily down.

    It’s strange, because my other site that is almost identical (https://www.spiffykerms.com) seems to be operating totally fine.
