• The previous thread was marked as resolved but I had no reply to my previous question.

I purchased the plugin anyway and as I suspected, the kill script on wpengine kills the process after 60 seconds resulting in a 502.

At the request of wpengine technical support, they asked me to ask if there is any way of forcing the plugin to operate in small batches of images rather than the entire library at once?

    Cheers

    Hello @mahoutie,

Sorry i didn’t have the time to see your message, well normally i don’t have the right to speak about the PRO version here (is against the rules) but because this problem can be found at the WP version i will continue.

For answer your question, yes the plugin can be modify for make the search in small batches, but a lots of code have to be modify (30%).

You have a really big blog (17gb of images) but normally this is not the problem, probably you have a big database (a lots of Post/Page) and because the plugin have to search the image ref in the all database, this will take time.

Are you already try to put only 1 at the “Number of images show on 1 page” options and see if you continue to have the timeout? Or uncheck some options like “Check in draft”, this one is very heavy.

Another solution is to download your site, and try to do all at the localhost, this will be less expensive, is not the better solution, but is one.

This is a classical problem of this kind of logic, you will have NxM search to do it, with N->number image and M->number of post/page/shortcode, etc, the only solution is to limit the numbers,N is with the “Number of images show on 1 page” options and M is with the Checks options, or limit the period of search.

I will be waiting your answer, but be careful, ask something global about the plugin, if is something particular from the PRO version, contact me direct. (your question and problem is global at this moment)
