Working with my hosting provider, A2hosting, they are showing that google bots (all google ip addresses) are indexing or doing something to the site and its causing 100% cpu usage. In my last post I had to block all of Russia through cloudflare since I saw some activity from that country.

A2 wants me to investigate this on my own.

When opening multiple tabs of different posts it can cause high cpu usage on the server and thus I get 503 errors across the board. After 5 minutes it goes back down.

To resolve issues I’m looking everywhere for solutions. Tonight I went and installed a CRON scheduler to change some jobs from every minute to every half hour or so. That didn’t help.

A2 says “The googlebots are currently causing the issue. Hence we recommend requesting a reduced Crawl rate.”

So how do I remedy this?
