Great plugin but I do have one issues. I use Mainwp for managing my sites. When maintenance mode is activated it cannot access any child site that is in maintenance mode. I contacted their plugin support and was told that your plugin issues a 503 error code under those circumstances. This prevents me from getting my sites update which is obviously critical. Is there a way to change the code or disable the feature?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @jschmidtsbss,

I don’t use MainWP, but I think you can try to exclude all their IP addresses (from maintenance mode) by using the “Exclude” setting.
If you need the IP addresses, ask their support team.

Later edit: My bad. I thought that MainWP is similar to ManageWP. ??

You have to exclude (on each child) the IP address of the website where you have MainWP Dashboard plugin installed.

Disclaimer: If the main website is hosted on your localhost, you have to use the external IP address.

Okay, you have already gone above and beyond but I am confused. Where would I go to exclude the website of the Mainwp Dashboard? I don’t see anything in the settings area on the child site.

@jschmidtsbss you have to exclude the IP address of the website where “MainWP Dashboard” is installed.

Where? On each child website, go to “Settings” > “WP Maintenance Mode” > “Exclude”, and add that IP address.
