503 error on WordPress Login – Host or WordPress?
-
Hi guys,
I use WordPress for a number of sites & have never encountered this problem before.
4+ sites still working ok, 2 effected. Everytime I go to; https://mysite.com/wp-login.php it will load maybe once and then on any refresh or after entering credentials it will immediately fail with a 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable (nginx) error.
I’ve tried stripping my site down to basics – disabling absolutely all plugins and it still won’t have it. I’ve tried resetting my router, deleting cookies, using different browsers – the lot, no joy.
Both sites are completely independent of one another and have different themes & plugins, but yet it’s not working.
I’m stuck with Streamline.net hosting (God help me) and I told them about the problem after reading on the WordPress forums it’s server side and they’ve come back to me with;
Thank you for your query
We have been receiving multiple 503 related issues now and all of them have mentioned WordPress. Since WordPress has just updated, we strongly advise that you double check the settings of your browsers, plug-ins and other applications. Please be informed that 503 error is not caused by failure of our hosting services. We have tried accessing https://yoursite.com here in our end and it appears to be working fine. However, we will be giving you possible solutions to this kind of problem.
Please be guided with the following:
1. Clear your browser Cache.
2. Uninstall unnecessary plug-ins and applications that may affect your website.
3. Restart your router.If error continues, we advise you to contact WordPress and ask for assistance.
Can anyone please, please help me or at least let me know if my hosts are blowing me off here!!
Many thanks to all who read and bother to reply ?? It’s greatly appreciated.
