    Hi,

    I recently installed Wordfence on a new site. Its still in learning mode. The 503 brute force protection is locking me out while I am already logged in.

    ie. I logged in fine, I edit some pages. When I click an action like publish, update etc. I get locked out. This is happening about every 45 minutes, and is very distracting as I then have to wait for a code to be sent to me by email.

    Why would a brute force protection be affecting an Admin who has already logged in successfully?

    There is no reason I should have been automatically logged out in that time period. And even so, as I’m not logging in multiple times with failed attempts, I can’t see why an auto log out, if that was happening, would cause a brute force trigger.

    I tried turning off brute force blocking entirely, just so I could get some work done. Now I can’t even access public pages on the site without an unlock code every 20 minutes.
    My firewall settings are lower (as in humans can visit 60 pages per minute, 404s at like 20 per minute) than any of my other websites, and I’ve never had this issue before on any other one of my sites. what is going on!

    Can you please share a screenshot of the expanded details of the entry in Live Traffic that shows your IP getting locked out?

    Also, you might consider whitelisting your IP in Wordfence > All Options > Advanced Firewall Options. Though, this definitely isn’t expected behavior.
