503 Service Unavailable Error

Disabled all plugins and tried again yet not working on 5.0.2.

Ok. Others have reported problems with the options page, but this is a new one. If you turn debugging on, we should be able to locate the bug. You do that by changing the following line in wp-config.php (~ line 80)

define('WP_DEBUG', false);

change it to:

define('WP_DEBUG', true);

Then go to the options page and see if there is any error messages. Some of the message might be covered by the sidebar / topbar.

Oh, btw, I have just released 0.9.0. It solves related problems, it might solve this problem too, @cenkonsoy

Updated but sadly the problem exists in the same way as
“503 Service Unavailable – The server is temporarily busy, try again later!”
Thus the error 503, debug can not print error on screen.

Can I get your URL? I can then try to call plugins/webp-express/wod/webp-on-demand.php directly, and see what it says

(it might be that the error happens during the test conversions, which are automatically run when the option screen is shown, in order to show status)

Here there is a similar issue.

Options page do not load. Only a blank page shows up =/. I’m using 5.0.2 wp and 0.9.0 plugin version.

Both of you, can you try to enable debug log?
In wp-config.php:

define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );

After that, go to options page (which will fail). And then examine wp-content/debug.log (the newest entries are in the bottom)

Hm, are you on 0.8.0?
Try adding ?wp-content=wp-content to the URL.
The “wp-content” parameter tells the script the relative path to wp-content from document root. It is usually simply “wp-content”. In 0.9.0 it defaults to “wp-content”

But if you are on 0.8.0, I suggest you update to 0.9.0

None of “” are working.
Even with:
“/wp-content/plugins/webp-express/wod/webp-on-demand.php”
“plugins/webp-express/wod/webp-on-demand.php”
“https://www.bilimgunlugu.com/wp-content/plugins/webp-express/wod/webp-on-demand.php?wp-content=wp-content”

Please specify full link to try if something is wrong on my side.

we noticed same issue –> we were able to access options page as long as the connection to webp converting tool was not enabled. after setting api key to ewww options page is not accessible anymore. Now we only receive a blank screen.

Ok, interesting. Perhaps some security feature doesn’t like the outgoing curl-call.
Are you all using ewww?

Try disabling the test-run, by commenting out the following line in wp-content/plugins/webp-express/lib/options/page.php (in version 0.9.0, it is on line 70)

Change:
$testResult = TestRun::getConverterStatus();

to:
// $testResult = TestRun::getConverterStatus();

Does this fix the problem with the blank options page ?
And what happens when you click the “test” buttons on the converters?
