• Does anyone have any ide why when I try to go to my website it says

503 Unavailable (maintenance is down. Capacity problem)
It was 2 days ago that I believe hackers tried to get into my website and I got a email saying that my login attempts were unsuccessful and then WordPress put me on a lockdown.

Yesterday I was able to log onto my site for a few minutes and add new products but then the page goes white and says 503 Unavailable.
I let is sit all day today and it still says the same thing.

I have called my hosts, where I got my domain name from and they do not know why. Word press has no support. Does anyone understand why this is happening or any information as to HELP! THANK YOU!!!!

  • What is your site URL?

BTW, WordPress DOES have support – that’s what these forums are.

I just looked at the site in your profile – and that’s not a WordPress message – you need to talk to your hosting company (ipage) about this.

If your site has been hacked, see:

    My URL page is https://www.LoveTrenna.com

I am very lost. I contacted Ipage and they said that everything was okay on their end. But couldn’t explain why that page was coming up and why the website wasn’t working and to contact WordPress.

    See this: https://www.checkupdown.com/status/E503.html

Have they tried to view your site?

Has who tried to view my site?

It is weird because I was able to view my site yesterday. But when I try to put up products it will work for 5 minutes and then go back to this page. ALl day today I let it be and it still says the same thing. It is incredibly frustrating and I do not know what to do it has been 3 days already of seeing my website like this with the 503 unavailable page.

Has iPage looked at it? Do they not get that message? That’s a server message, not WordPress.

BTW, have you looked at your site files on the server (using FTP or Cpanel) to see if your site was, in fact, hacked?

Ipage has not said anything and they said that they have had no problems.
That’s why this is strange to them, that my website is still acting up.

I did get emails on Dec 26 that my email was failed at logins and I was on a lock out.

So iPage locked you out? Or do you have security plugins on your site?

Although I doubt it will fix this problem, you could try deactivating the plugisn on your site manually – by changing the name on the plugins folder on the server –

    wp-content
       plugins.HOLD

wordpress locked me out. I let someone else do my plugins for my site since he created my site.

So I have to go to Ipage and tell theem to change in plugins? or Ill have to log into WordPress and change it.

You should be able to use Cpanel or FTP to access your site files on the server – and change the file name as above. If you don’t know how to do that, you will need to ask iPage yes.

My IP address leads me to GoDaddy but then I called them and they do not have my site supposedly. This is all confusing.
I got my domain from Ipage but they said my IP address is to GoDaddy which I just looked on Cpanel and it is. This is very frustrating because I still wanted to try to chnge my password for WordPress and it wont let me.

    See this:

    https://www.whoishostingthis.com/?q=lovetrenna.com

It shows the host as GoDaddy but the nameservers set to ipage – which seems very odd to me. Who set up your site?

Who do you pay for hosting?

    (@lovetrenna)

I first had my page with Big Cartel. Then I let my friend customize my website. Which he then put on WordPress. I pay Ipage to have my domain name but I just use WordPress.
From what I found out is that GoDaddy I haven’t used them since 2013 but I am with Ipage.

You need to talk to iPage – that message is from their server.
