504 Errors on website due to plugin hogging server resources

My site load very slowly. I am hosting through WPEngine via the business plan. I have used this plugin for years and have had issues before with the cache growing to over 20GB. Now it seems there is a serious issue with the plugin taking over server resources. I am getting 504’s on a regular basis and all of the logs are pointing to this plugin.
