• Hello, your plugin it’s amazing, so, thank you in first place; but, when trying to update to your last two versions that you released yesterday, server crashed with a 504 error. In case of thinking in a conflict with a change in other plugins, themes, server and configs; they remained exactly the same.
A clue we could give it’s an email we received from our WP install regarding line 82 of this file:
/home/german71/public_html/wp-content/plugins/query-monitor/collectors/php_errors.php. Mensaje de error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function Molongui\Authorship\Includes\get_user_by() in /home/fake_user_name/public_html/wp-content/plugins/molongui-authorship/includes/class-author.php:289

We deactivated Query Monitor -thinking in a plugin conflict-, and tried to activate again Molongui, but got the same error.
We’ll appreciate if you can fix it or tell us how to do it.
    Thanks,

    Germán

    Hi @german71,

I can see you use a cache plugin. Did you clear all caches (plugin, server and CDN’s, if present) after plugin update? If you didn’t please, clear them all and check if the issue persists. If it does, please let us know so we can look into it.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. I forgot to mention that. I did it several times, before and after each updating atempt.

OK. Which version of the plugin do you have installed now?

    Thread Starter Germán Maretto

    (@german71)

Latest: 4.0.4, but got the same error, also yesterday, with 4.0.3. In fact I tried to get back 4.0.2, but couldn’t find it.

    Hi @german71,

could you please open a support ticket here so we can send you a plugin installer so you can test whether it works now for you?

@german71, don’t bother, we have released an update (version 4.0.5). Please, let us know if it fixes the issue you reported.

    Hi again.

Thank you so much for your quick response. Yesterday was 3 am here, so I couldn’t continue following you up. Now I’m back and updated the plugin to 4.0.5. Same 504 error after doing it and after deleting cache (WP Super Cache plugin) and retrying to activate yours.

    Hi @german71,

no worries. That’s kind of weird. Could you please share admin access to your Dashboard so we can look into it. For that, DO NOT use this thread. Instead, open a support ticket with us here.

    Did it ??

Thanks to @german71 we have been able to track down and fix an issue that arose when having thousands of users. So thanks Germán!

    Released version 4.0.6 fixes this.

Hi Molongui, as the user I’m having same issue with my website, already contact the hoster (AWS) which said it’s not they problem. I’m not a developer, I was building my first website and have no idea how to “read” technical terms. If you could please help me as clear as possible of how do I fix this issue, I appreciate. Already spent $ with technicals supports and couldn’t fix it, it’s been 3 weeks already.

    Thank you.

    Hi @aquarellegraphicdesign,

we have just released and update (4.0.7) that addresses a similar issue to the one reported originally by Germán. If yours is indeed related, this update should fix it. So please update to latest version.

Feel free to get back to us if it doesn’t.
