    Dear WC Team,

since I updated to 4.6.1 I am getting the 504 Error when I access front end and backend (WP Admin).

I had to rollback several versions to make sure it works.

    Any idea on this ?

    Thank you
    Gabriele

    Hi there,

WooCommerce attempts to log any fatal errors. You can find these under WooCommerce > Status >> Logs (click on the tab). After clicking on the logs tab examine the dropdown on the right for any “fatal-errors” entry.

Do you have any and if yes, what do they say?

    Kind regards,

    Thank you @conschneider
    I really appreciate your support.
Unfortunatelly I have no errors reported in the WC log.

But believe me, I spent to crazy day, with contious 504 errors with:

[apache][:warn] [pid 38424] [client 85.5.79.13:59458] Timeout waiting for output from CGI script

and on GT Metrix when sometimes the Homepage worked the WC-AJAX bar RED, means in error.

Then I rolled back to 4.5.2 (to be on the safe side for testing) and everything is perfect !
The first issue was yesterday, so I guess with 4.6.1/2
    Thank you

    Dear @conschneider
I did a further test, I moved from 4.5.2 to 4.6.1 and it is still OK.

There bust me something BETWEEN the 4.6.1 and the 4.6.2 which breaks the site and generate 504 Timeout.

I hope you can find out what it is.

    Thank you !

    Good morning,

did you get any idea about the 504 Error and WC-AJAX error after the update to 4.6.2 ?

I am back to 4.6.1 and everything is OK, but soon or later I will have to upgrade.

    Thank you

    Hi there,

Thank you for letting us know!

The cause of the error could vary as we don’t have any specific logs about it.
I don’t see any general issue updating to 4.6.2, but I’d like to investigate this further. Could you please share the System Status report with us? You can find it in WP Admin > WooCommerce > Status > System Status, click on the Get system report button and copy it here in a comment.

Furthermore, I recommend creating a staging site and to try and manually updating the WooCommerce plugin to its latest version, 4.7.0.

    1. Deactivate and remove the plugin from the site.
    2. Install it as a new plugin through the Plugins page.
    3. If the above doesn’t work, you may need to unzip the contents of the .zip file into wp-content/plugins/woocommerce.

Finally, if this doesn’t help, I encourage you to run a conflict test by disabling all the plugins, except for WooCommerce, and enable a core theme like Storefront in the process. You can read more about it here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you for the advice.

I followed your instructions and discovered that the conflict is with the plugin: Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP.

They will fix the issue on their side.

    Thank you.
