• Hi, I’m trying to create a simple bilingual blog with everything in english except for a few posts (created by my friends) in Korean.

I’ve installed the latest english version of WordPress (1.5.2), and I’m using the default character encoding, UTF-8.

However, when I save korean text in a post, some of the korean syllables appear as question marks (or question marks inside diamonds).

Is it possible to correct this so that my friends can create korean posts?

I tried using the Basic Bilingual plugin with the language “ko”, but that didn’t solve the problem.

I’ve discovered that if I change the character encoding for the entire site to EUC-KR then the Korean posts do work fine!

But isn’t it possible to encode all the Korean syllables in UTF-8?
