Unable to activate any plugins

Hi,

I’ve gotten WordPress 2.0 working pretty good but I am unable to activate any plugins. I’ve searched the forums and it seems many people in the past have had this issue but no real solution (at least none of which has worked for me). My WP2 install is clean, and I’ve actually installed multiple times.

Basically, I go to the Plugins view, click on Activate, I get a box that says your plugin has been activated. But the plugin info does not change from “Activate” to “Deactivate” — and of course they don’t show up either.

I’m trying this with just the ones that came with the clean install (found the problem when trying other plugins).
