WordPress 2.0 installed fresh, contents of posts do not save

  • Hi all

    New to WordPress, had just started a 1.5 installation when I realised 2.0 was out, so started fresh. When I write a post and hit save or save and publish or preview the post box empties, but the post saves. So I end up with empty posts.

    Anybody know why that might be happening? Doesn’t seem to have a problem creating pages and posts, but the contents of the posts are empty.

  • Turn off the WYSIWYG editor by unchecking the box, Use the visual rich editor when writing, in Your Profile panel; Administration > Profile > Your Profile. That check box can be found at the bottom left on that panel. Does that help?

    If not, log out, delete your wp-content/cache folder, clear your browser cache and cookies.
