6.0.13.1 broken – Events not editable

    With version 6.0.13.1, the related blocks are not shown in the editor anymore, instead the editor shows for every TheEventsCalendar block

    “Your Website does not support ?tribe/event-datetime“-Block. You can leave the block inteact or remove it.”

    and likewise for all other blocks, the non-block editor does not show any configuration items at all.

    Downgrade to 6.0.13 (luckily, I have backups) solves the issue, so 6.0.13.1 is obviously broken and was not tested.

    I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue. Let me help you with this one.

    By any chance, are you using WordPress 6.2.1? If so, could you try downgrading to 6.2 and see if that makes a difference? (Please test it first on a staging site)

    Moreover, could you provide the version of the following? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

    See another thread with a similar issue not addressed.

    PHP 8.1
    WordPress 6.2.1 (same with 6.2.2)
    The Events Calendar 6.0.13.1 (fine with 6.0.13)
    Graphene 1.4.25 (same with 1.4.24)

    The history of 6.0.13.1 states that something was changed in the event editor part… which obviously broke it. Time to fix it.

    Thanks for your response, and my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

    I tried replicating this issue on my side, but it’s working as expected.

    Could you try activating only our plugins, activate a basic theme (e.g. 2020 theme), and see if that makes a difference? After that, try re-activating your plugins again, one at a time.

    It is *not* solved, but persists. Plugin broken, just ckeck the changes between 6.0.13 and 6.0.13.1, there is the issue. 6.0.13 does work.

    Issue is still unsolved with latest 6.2 version, it only affects the editor. And this is no plugin conflict, disabling all other plugins did NOT resolve the issue. Something between 6.0.13 and 6.0.13.1 broke it and it was never fixed.
