    I’m getting messages like:

Website Visitor Has requested a non existing page (404 Error Pages) more than 10 times This could possible be a scan, therefore keep an eye on the activity from this IP Address. (6007: User / website visitor requested a non-existing page (404 ERROR))

Is there a way to know what pages this refers to and what IP addresses are triggering this?

    Hello b-rad,

Thank you very much for using our plugin and that is a very good question.

At the moment it is not possible and we did not implement it to protect the audit trail from flooding with Alert 6007. Having said that we are looking into this because many people have requested it and it shall be available in the one of the upcoming versions of the plugin.

Should you wish to be updated when this is available, I’d recommend you to subscribe to the plugin newsletter.

While I trust the above answers your question, do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any further queries.

    Hi there,
can I just add to this that I’ve started seeing many of these 404 errors in the log (here’s a screenshot) – but when I looked at my Google Analytics Data, no 404 pages are being served. (I used this tip for how to show them)

    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    James

    Hello James,

Can you please open a separate thread for your problem since it is totally unrelated to the original problem reported in this thread. Thank you.

No, James is reporting having the exact same issue. I just started a thread because I am having the issue as well.

Yeah, I thought it sounded like exactly the same issue.
I’ll be an obedient little user and start a new thread though.

Thank you for posting your support ticket in a new thread. The original post in this thread is asking if it is possible to know which are the 404 pages the user is requesting while your query is about the validity of these errors, so they are different requests.

yeah I have the exact same issue.

    HI Cuta,

The next update of the plugin will start recording which pages are being requested when the 404 error requests are generated.
