  • On occasion, directory permission changes or network blips cause a problem where a file can’t be overwritten in the update process. This is not indicative of a problem. Use sftp or ftp to access your web server, remove the wordfence folder in wp-content/plugins, and reinstall wordfence from the plugins > add new page of your web site.

I have the exact same problem as SMwebmaster when trying to update from 6.0.24 to 6.0.25

Did you try the same solution?

Also have this error trying to update. The fact that other people have this problems shows it is not my configuration that is the problem so this is a good development! lol

I am going to try a manual install and will report back.

removing wordfence folder and then adding it again from wp admin seems to have done it.

Yes, that worked for me, but I lost some of my settings.
