Order of spam blocking?

  • Hello,
    I’m thinking of installing spam karma. I already have bad behavior and askismet running. Does anyone know the order spamblockers work in?

    I know bad behavior kicks in first, because it’s pasted into the top of every file you want to protect. But, does askismet or spam karma kick in first? (I hope spam karma kicks in and blocks in first, is I’d just as soon kill spam before having to moderate it in askismet.)

  • Somewhere, someone wrote a little SK plugin to integrate it with Akismet. So, SK would do all of his stuff first and, if the thing was determined to be spam, would send it over to Akismet server(s) to get it “known”.

    Thanks! I installed both.

    Now, I need to try to figure out if I can install something that will autodelete trackbacks from pharmaceutical spam. Is there anything that will lower the karma score of a trackback based on the wp blacklist? I really prefer to moderate the minimum amount of stuff manually.
