Membership Software (e.g. VisionGate)

A client of mine is looking for a “membership” site with varying levels of membership (free, paid, VIP, etc.) and I think I’d be stretching WP to its limits whereas maybe I should just use something like VisionGate. Here’s some of her laundry list:

— a few thousand members with unique logins ([x]WP)
— payment info per user (paid, subscription info (e.g. expires in 2 weeks) ([o]WP? Maybe integrated with PayPal? Maybe integrated with Subscribers Only,
— locking when 2 people try to login with the same user info/password ([o]WP),
— newsletter manager (I know of this Mailing List plugin),
— shopping cart (I like WP-E-Commerce Lite so far),

Frankly, I’d rather use WP because I’m familiar with it, but this VisionGate seems to do all of these things out of the (expensive) box.
