Additional note: Scroll down to the bottom of the pastebin link samboll provided, click ‘Download 8883.txt’ to, well, download it, and rename the file something like ‘subscribers-only.php’ (name isn’t important, just the .php extension).

Excellent! I wanted to use this and saw it was still not available on Edwards site, so thank you very much for this!

hmm, would love if anyone coupd put it up somewhere again to grab. I’m in the same situation as original poster, the plugin sounds like it would be doing exactly what I need, but isn’t available. Do I wait for the new version to be released, or do I look elsewhere for a less satisfactory solution?

I wouldn’t bother. I downloaded and installed the file, and after a week of testing and tweaking I still can’t get it to work. It just doesn’t seem to be compatible with the latest WP — mainly, it still has the bugs that caused it to be taken down: it does not update the options page for the plug-in (making it literally useless).

Unfortunately, I don’t know PHP & WP well enough to locate the problem with the code. Thus, I suggest bugging the author for an updated, bug-free version.

I too would be interested in a download for this plugin… I’ve searched and searched, but none of the other similar plugins available do the same thing. The author’s site does mention that the old version had bugs that caused it to not work on some servers, but I’d still like to give it a try.

I’d just wait for the new version to be available, but it appears that it’s been quite a while since it was originally promised, and judging by the author’s angry replies to comments complaining about how long it’s been, I’m not terribly hopeful that a new release will happen anytime soon. ??

^ this is a restriction plugin. basically does the same thing.

Does anyone know if the code for the “subscribers-only” plugin is available anywhere, even if it’s not in totally working order? I’m *very* interested in this functionality, and would love to play around with the plugin (and perhaps even contribute to development?).
