    Hi.

Im a big fan of optimole.

In my case Im not see an advantage of this plugin and Im trying to identify If I made a mistake, or if its just that my particular setup is engineered best with LSCWP+Perfmatters+ CSS and JS optimization

When I test TTFB with speed vitals, Im getting about 70% expired cache. And I see this in my dev tools also.

My load speeds are substantial worse in page speed and lighthouse when using Litesped + this plugin OR when I toggle the fallback option on(which I gather is how to activate the cache function).

In my case an admin rule as well as cache everything rule seems to outperform this plugin. After I have spent considerable time optimizing

Is it likely Ive made a mistake and there is a way to make the cache hit percent more successful and improve the results for my growing international base of users?

For someone using LSCWP and server, does this plugin do anything different as compared to the cloudflare plugin + page rules in cloudflare?

    Hi @lutzryan,
Please share your website URL so that I can check it thoroughly and also do mention if you have performed any extra steps/optimization beside the plugin’s default settings. Without looking at your website headers I won’t be able to dig deeper.

Thank you for your response @isaumya

Im looking at doing website optimization for other sites who target international users, so I appreciate you helping me get a better understanding, even if its not perfect for my setup on litespeed.

Currently I have reverted to Litespeed and de activated the “cache everything” rule as its does not seem to be a great advantage in this case. However I could be incorrect. Also as far as litespeed optimizations that can not be conveyed through cdn, I think Im only using VPI, Guest mode, and webp images.

My pages are largely in these 2 formats

    https://xzib.com/miami

Thank you in advance if you can give any insights as to IF and WHY this is prudent for me to consider. I notice that it seems my ttfb is close to 1 second in asia. However everything else looks good with my current setup and Google attributed 25% more mobile pages to Good page experience designation overnight. So Im not terribly eager to rock the boat on this site, unless there is a significant opportunity for improvement for web users.

A users first impression of the site and fast loading is my goal

    Hi @lutzryan,
Looking at the response header of your webpage it seems that you are not using this plugin on your website anymore and instead using the Official Cloudflare plugin along with APO Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/krVpruh.jpeg

I would request you to please disable APO inside the Cloudflare dashboard and then remove the official Cloudflare plugin from your website. Then also remove any custom Page rules or Cache Rules that you have added.

Finally install and set up this plugin as fresh and let me know so that I can take another look.

    Hi @isaumya

It has taken me a long time to get these plugins integrated in a way that appeases Google with just last night having 25% more mobile pages gaining “good experience” in Google search console.

I have now reluctantly re enabled this plugin after the site sent into offline mode and threw 502 errors.

I have disabled litespeed. And left only cache everything page rule

Is this integration going to make my site vulnerable to crashing and 500 error? Due to the fact that Im not a programmer, I cant gamble with an unstable site and having to spend months messaging for help in forums in pursuit of modest gains above the litespeed/cloudflare setup I had.

Currently my TTFB scores at speed vitals is not showing improvements in Asia where ttfb is 1 second with and without this plugin. And I dont see any improvements otherwise. That said, Ive not optimized this plugin at all.

Please advise as to what the next steps should be in pursuit of a fast and VERY stable site with less integrations and complications?
Can you please advise me if and what I stand to (potentially) gain if I get this plugin working?? As compared to litespeed
    + cloudflare?

    Hi @lutzryan,
Looking at the response header of your website I can see that your website is properly getting cached in Cloudflare including the main HTML pages. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/iU3lvnh.jpeg

Also the TTFB is also quite low: https://i.imgur.com/1NGUnog.jpeg

Pages are also loading super quick. I don’t see any issues here. But I would recommend you to enable the “Smart Tiered Cache” inside the Cloudflare Dashboard as it will increase your cache HIT ratio.

Its working well now for what I was trying to improve with TTFB in asia. Thank you my friend!

In pursuit of stability/speed for a growing mobile user base, are there any options I should optimize?

    Re:Images
I notice my above the fold image is not “optimized,” however below the fold look to be optimized (with _nlow.jpg) added to the URL.
Do you have any suggestions as to how to manage above the fold images which can be classified by class=”evocard_box ftimage?
(1000 posts like this on my site)

Are there actions I need to take to keep the cache warm?

    Hi @lutzryan,
For image optimization, you can use the Cloudflare Pro plan which will give you access to Cloudflare Polish providing you unlimited image optimization and next-gen image format.

On top of that, when it comes to increasing your cache HIT ratio, the Smart Tiered Cache will help you out on that a lot. But if you want to increase that even more, then I would suggest you to start using Cloudflare Cache Reserve option. Yes it’s a paid system, but it charges you very little compared the long term CDN caching you get. This will also reduce your bandwidth cost as items are cached in CDN longer and it does not need to be fetched from origin server.

@isaumya thank you for this helpful info. Regarding images.

Im likely not going to spring for the cloudflare pro at this point. Is there a plugin that works well with Super Page Cache for Cloudflare for image optimization?

I currently have webp images from litespeed. Should I keep those webp images, or should I consider using another plugin to recompress all the images. Unfortunately, I have thousands of images and many were not well optimized before uploading.

    Hi @lutzryan,
If you are not willing to go for Cloudflare Pro, then I would suggest you to use either Optimole or Imagekit.io (both of them has great free tier) as they will provide a much better on the fly optimization than doing the optimization at the server level and creating different file format.
